Yesterday, Texas Tech head coach, Matt Wells, announced that his team will have a new starting quarterback.
Matt Wells says, "We're going to make a change at quarterback. Henry Colombi is going to start against West Virginia. I think he's played well."

Junior quarterback, Henry Colombi, will get the nod when the Mountaineers travel to Lubbock to take on the Red Raiders. After Alan Bowman struggled for three quarters against Iowa State last week, Colombi relieved him and looked impressive in doing so. He would finish the game going 10-for-12 with 115 yards and one touchdown.
This will be the second straight season the Mountaineers will be facing Texas Tech’s backup quarterback – and third if you count the 2018 edition of the series when Alan Bowman exited with an injury.
The Mountaineers and Red Raiders kickoff at 5:30 on October 24th. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN2.
