Morgantown, West Virginia – When three star defensive back Mumu Bin-Wahad committed to the West Virginia Mountaineers yesterday evening, it was the spark that could lead to an absolute firestorm of recruits deciding to make Morgantown their new home in 2022.
This appears to be, without a doubt, shaping up to be the best recruiting class for the West Virginia football program ever!
Nicco Marchiol, four star QB – When Bin-Wahad committed, Marchiol posted a very telling response on social media. “My brother. I love you bro you know how much this means to us. Congrats family.”
That is as clear of an indication as possible that Marchiol is eventually going to choose to play for the Mountaineers when he commits on his birthday, June 21.
Marchiol has an official visit planned for this weekend at Arizona State, but Arizona State has recently come under intense NCAA scrutiny and investigation surrounding recruiting violations. These violations are serious and could lead to the coaching staff being fired. With this said, West Virginia seems to be a near lock to land Marchiol.

Travious Lathan, 4 star Linebacker – Lathan had an official visit in Morgantown on June 11th and he was reportedly blown away by what West Virginia had to say and offer. Although he is finishing out his visits to other schools, he also appears to be a near lock to land at WVU.

Jaden Mangham, four star athlete – Mangham officially visited West Virginia University at the beginning of June and appears ready to commit to the Mountaineers any time now. Mangham has offers from major programs, including home state teams Michigan State and Michigan, but ultimately West Virginia will be where he plays college football.

Christion Stokes, 3 star athlete – Stokes visited Morgantown with his close friend Jaden Mangham on June 4th and has been very vocal on social media since then. The above social media graphic was released of him and Mangham with the caption, “Ride Together, Ball Together.” Like Mangham, he’s a lock to land at WVU.
If/when the Mountaineers land the above players and several other possibilities over the next few days and weeks, Neal Brown will have not only his best class since arriving in Morgantown, but the best recruiting class in the history of West Virginia football!
