Morgantown, WV – Moments ago, Rich Rodriguez and the West Virginia Mountaineers added another piece to the 2026 recruiting class. In the past, Rodriguez has been adamant about adding speed to his roster. That is exactly what he got today with his new offensive weapon.

Christopher Talley, a 2026 running back out of Tennessee, has committed to the Mountaineers via Instagram.

Talley, who currently holds a three-star rating by 247Sports, has garnered offers from various FBS programs. Among the teams that have offered him so far include Tulsa, Jacksonville State, Memphis, Georgia State, UTSA, and Pitt.

The Tennessee native also ran track for his high school. He often shares his official times on his social media page, regularly finishing at the top of competitions.

With his size and speed, Talley should fit in well in the West Virginia backfield.
