Morgantown, West Virginia – Joseph Udoh caught his first football four months ago and is now quickly becoming a major player in college football recruiting. Originally from Nigeria, Udoh, who is 6’9, stands above the competition.
But it isn’t just his incredible height that makes him exceptional. He also has a 4.5 GPA, is considered a genius, and is an absolute freak of nature as an athlete.
Although football is a brand new game to him and he’s still learning the rules, he has an “absolutely ridiculous work ethic”, according to his wide receiver’s coach at Nitro High School in Nitro, West Virginia.
“Even though he just picked up the sport a few months ago, I think he’s the next great thing. He’s already an extremely skilled wide receiver and I’ve clocked him at 4.64 in the 40,” said Nitro wide receiver coach Bryce Slater.
He is still a bit under the radar with a lone offer from the University of Charleston so far, but multiple D1 schools have been in touch with Udoh in the past few weeks.
In other words, his recruitment is about to explode. However, West Virginia University can’t offer him because they already have multiple wide receivers from next year’s class that have committed. Neal Brown did, however, offer him a preferred walk on opportunity with the Mountaineers. With that said, Udoh’s his grade point average combined with him living in state would likely mean that his education could be paid with an academic scholarship.
6’9 wide receivers with freakish athletic abilities and an incredible work ethic do not come around often, and Neal Brown should make every effort in the world to bring Joseph Udoh to Morgantown to play for the Mountaineers as soon as possible before the rest of the country finds out about him.
Blessed to receive an opportunity to play at West Virginia University!!! 🙏🏿 PWO pic.twitter.com/RiCrQtl3la
