Morgantown, WV – Moments ago, Adam “Pacman” Jones appeared on the Pat McAfee show to discuss Mountaineer Football. During his appearance, he let potentially the biggest news of the day slip for WVU and the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Jones, who has been famous for letting news regarding WVU out before its official, mentioned that the program had landed a junior college defensive end. While there is a possibility that he was referring to Keenan Eck, who committed yesterday, some are speculating if another big name is being referenced.
This player is Jimmori Robinson of UTSA.
In the exchange between McAfee and Jones, they essentially confirm that West Virginia has landed its top target in the transfer portal. “I feel really good about what’s going on in Morgantown,” Jones said. “I just talked to Rich Rod today and he already got a couple of guys that he wanted. We want guys that win and play hard. I think we’re in a good situation. We already got two big names. We got the defensive end, I can’t remember his name. We got a big defensive end that we just paid, he’s a monster.”
McAfee added, “Yeah, he’s a JUCO guy. We weren’t sure what his eligibility was going to be and there were some other schools after him, but Rodriguez and his staff stuck with him. Then the ruling came down and this kid said, ‘Yeah, I appreciate you.’ Now he’s coming and we’re paying him, but he’s a dawg. Everyone that’s on that team is going to be a dawg.”

Robinson, who is expected to decide between WVU and Virginia Tech today, played at the junior college level prior to landing at UTSA. While it is not official, Robinson is a player that would warrant the type of excitement portrayed by McAfee and Jones during their discussion.
