Morgantown, WV – The West Virginia University Football program has hosted a plethora of recruits this weekend. As expected, many commitments have begun to hit social media. Earlier this afternoon, the Mountaineers landed two for the 2026 class – one on offense and one on defense.

The first came on the offensive side of the ball. Robert Stith, a wide receiver out of Niceville, Florida, committed to West Virginia University, according to reports from Rivals.

Stith has yet to receive a star rating from the recruiting outlet 247Sports. However, the site reports that he has received many offers from various FBS programs.

The programs that Stith has received offers from include Kansas State, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan State, and Minnesota among others.

Rich Rodriguez dipped into the junior college ranks to notch their second commitment of the afternoon. Aaron Edwards, a safety out of Northeast Oklahoma A&M, committed to West Virginia University via Instagram and X.

Edwards also currently holds no official star rating from 247Sports. While his 6’3” frame certainly brings the intangibles to be a successful defensive back in the Big 12, he has yet to garner much attention from Power Four programs.

At this time, WVU is the only Power Four school to have offered him. According to 247Sports, he holds three other offers from FBS programs – Tulsa, UTEP, and UTSA.

More commitments are expected to come this afternoon.
