According to Rivals, Akron long snapper Cameron Lyons has entered the NCAA transfer portal.

Lyons, who is significantly experienced at the collegiate level, is the son of WVU athletic director Shane Lyons.

Per the Akron team site, Cameron Lyons has been just as successful off the field as he has on the field. He has earned Academic All-MAC selections, and was even named to the NCAA Oversight Committee Student-Athlete Connection Group.

Lyons was a redshirt junior in 2020, and it is unclear if he will use his extra year of eligibility.

Could he potentially make his way to WVU? Possibly, but it will be an interesting situation to pay attention to, nonetheless.
