Stewart Mandel, a staff writer for The Athletic, released his revised bowl projections following week fourteen today.

In his projections, Mandel has the Mountaineers heading to the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl to take on the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. On the season, Tulsa has compiled a 6-1 record, and are currently the 24th ranked team in the nation.

The Mountaineers and Golden Hurricane have played a familiar opponent this season in the Oklahoma State Cowboys. In their season opener, Tulsa dropped their contest to the Cowboys, 16-7. The following game, West Virginia also lost to the Cowboys, 27-13.

West Virginia and Tulsa have met once before in 1998. The Mountaineers took the contest by a score of 44-21.
