MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — We’re more than 8 months away from when the West Virginia Mountaineers welcome the Penn State Nittany Lions on Saturday August 31 in the first game of the 2024 season. However, shockingly, it’s already causing a major stir in the Morgantown area.
After doing a search on various hotel websites, it was revealed that virtually every single hotel in Morgantown is sold out for the weekend of August 30th – September 1st. The only hotel that is currerntly available in Morgantown is the Hampton Inn on Van Voorhis Road and it’s listed at $464 a night! The only other hotels available in the area are located in Clarksburg, West Virginia and priced around $150 a night, and Washington, PA, with prices in the $180-$190 range.
The excitement for the 2024 Mountaineers season is palpable and if you want to stay near Morgantown on the weekend of the opening game against Penn State, you better reserve your room quickly!
