Another Big 12 Coach Says Bob Huggins Belongs in the Hall of Fame

Morgantown, West Virginia – Several people in the world of sports have spoken out about Bob Huggins’ snub from the Hall of Fame last week, and today, yet another Big 12 coach took to social media to say that Huggins belongs in the Hall of Fame.

Texas Tech head coach Chris Beard, who was ejected from the game when the Red Raiders visited Morgantown on February 9th, said that his team is ready for the NCAA Tournament and added that Bob Huggins should be in the Hall of Fame.

“1. Selection Sunday is one of my favorite days of the year.  We are ready for a March run.  I believe in our players.  2. Bob Huggins is a basketball hall of fame coach.  Period.”

Texas Tech has struggled at the end of the season, finishing 17-10 overall and 9-8 in the Big 12 Conference, but they are loaded with talent and have one of the best coaches in the conference in Chris Beard.

Beard joins the Big 12 Coach of the Year, Baylor’s Scott Drew, in saying that Huggins was snubbed.  Last week, Drew said the following on his social media accounts: “I know I speak for the Big 12 coaches when I say Coach Huggins deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.”

The Mountaineers now await for the NCAA Selection Committee to decide their fate in the NCAA Tournament.  West Virginia is considered anywhere from a 3 seed to a 5 seed following back-to-back losses to Oklahoma State.

West Virginia’s next win will be Bob Huggins’ 900th in his long and illustrious career.  Let’s Go Mountaineers!
