Morgantown, West Virginia – Moments ago, redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Junior Uzebu announced that he is leaving the team and entering the transfer portal.

Uzebu, who only played in one game this season for the Mountaineers, said in his statement that “West Virginia has been my home for the past several years and is truly almost heaven.”

However, it’s likely that a lack of playing time led to Uzebu’s decision. Uzebu ended his statement by saying, “I’m excited for what God has in store for me.”

Earlier today, Zack Dobson, a transfer wide receiver from Middle Tennessee State, also announced that he was leaving the team.
