The Basketball Tournament (also known as TBT) is scheduled to tip-off in Charleston, West Virginia on July 24-26. The tournament, which offers a $1 million prize to the winner, features players from throughout the world and all of the players on West Virginia’s team, Best Virginia, are former Mountaineers.
Moments ago, it was announced that former West Virginia guard Daxter Miles will be making his TBT debut appearance this summer. Miles, a four-year starter for the Mountaineers, averaged 9.6 points per game over the course of his remarkable career playing for Bob Huggins.
Miles most recently played for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the NBA G League, where he averaged 14.7 points per game in 42 games played last season.
Best Virginia’s roster so far consists of former Mountaineers John Flowers, Kevin Jones, Nathan Adrian, Juwan Staten and now Daxter Miles. In addition, Bob Huggins announced during the season that he would “love to coach Best Virginia” and verbally committed to doing it. With this kind of talent and Bob Huggins coaching, this team very well could compete for the TBT Championship and the $1 million grand prize.
