Best Virginia Advances to the 3rd Round of the TBT

Charleston, West Virginia – West Virginia Mountaineers alumni team Best Virginia defeated D2, a team comprised of former Division II players, 63-51 in the second round of the TBT Tournament.

West Virginia legend Kevin Jones had another terrific game for Best Virginia, leading the team with 13 points and 6 rebounds.  Former Fairmont State star Jamel Morris had 11 points on 4-8 from the field and 2-5 from three point range.

Tarik Phillip added 11 points and 6 assists and Nathan Adrian also had 11 points (4-4 FG), including the game-winning shot.  Team general manager/player John Flowers finished with 7 points and 5 rebounds.

Best Virginia will be back in action on Wednesday night at 9:00 in the third round of the West Virginia Regional against Team 23, who beat the Marshall alumni team Herd That in a thriller earlier tonight.
