Best Virginia Cruises in Final TBT Tune-up

Morgantown, West Virginia – Best Virginia, West Virginia’s alumni team featuring former Mountaineers basketball players, defeated the the Underground Kings 77-63 last night in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Best Virginia was led by point guard Juwan Staten, who had 26 points.  Kevin Jones (11) and John Flowers (12) were also in double-figures for the former Mountaineers.

Best Virginia now will turn its focus to July 17th, the start of the TBT, a single-elimination tournament with a grand prize of $1 million dollars.

Best Virginia is in the same bracket as Marshall’s Herd That and the two teams will likely meet in the West Virginia Regional Finals in Charleston.

Best Virginia, a 2 seed in the tournament,  will play 15 seeded Woco Showtime (Wofford alumni team) on July 17th at 2:00PM on ESPN.

Herd That will play Team DRC at noon on July 17th prior to Best Virginia’s game and that game will also be shown live on ESPN.
