Charleston, West Virginia – West Virginia Mountaineers alumni team Best Virginia started off slowly and got down early against WoCo Showtime in Round 1 of the TBT, but found their rhythm in the second half to win in a thriller, 70-67.
Best Virginia was led by West Virginia great Kevin Jones had 20 points and 11 rebounds, and team general manager/player John Flowers had 15 points on 7-11 from the field. Tarik Phillip had 11 points and 5 rebounds.

Former Fairmont State star Jamel Morris, the only player on the team that did not play for WVU, had 9 points. Starting point guard Juwan Staten added 6 points and 4 assists.
Keith Braxton (13 points) and Fletcher Magee (17 points) led the Wofford alumni team.
Best Virginia will be back in action on Monday night at 9:00 to play the winner of D2 versus Bleed Virginia. The game will be televised live on ESPN2.
