Best Virginia Will Have Special Guests for Tomorrow’s Game

Morgantown, West Virginia – West Virginia’s alumni Best Virginia has made its way through the first two rounds of the TBT – a single-elimination tournament featuring 64 teams with $1 million going to the winner – by beating WoCo Showtime 70-67 in the opening round and D2 63-51 yesterday in the second round.

Tomorrow, the team will play Team 23, the 6th seeded team that upset Marshall’s alumni team Herd That.  Team 23’s roster features Raphiel Putney and Dakarai Tucker from Overseas Elite’s 2020 team as well as former NBA players Walter Lemon Jr., Eric Griffin and Daniel Ochefu.

The third round matchup should be an outstanding game and, according to West Virginia’ Mountaineers senior forward Gabe Osabuohien, Best Virginia will have some very special guests in attendance for the game.

Osabuohien posted the following message on his personal social media this evening: “A little bird said the WVU men’s basketball team will be in Charleston tomorrow for the game.  Meet me there!”

The Voice of Motown confirmed through Osabuohien that the entire team will travel by bus to Charleston to support the alumni team for the game.  It’s unclear whether Bob Huggins, who coached most of the players on the team, will be in attendance, but it’s very likely that he will be.

Bob Huggins has been universally praised for creating an alumni locker room at the West Virginia basketball facility for former players to return to workout and train, and taking his whole team to cheer on Best Virginia is just another way of showing his continued support to his former players.

Let’s Go Best Virginia and Let’s Go Mountaineers!
