Bob Huggins and Gabe Osabuohien’s Explosive Sideline Encounter

Morgantown, West Virginia – At the end of today’s brutal 81-58 loss at Oklahoma State, Gabe Osabuohien was ejected from the game for a technical foul.

Osabuohien, a senior who finished the game with 1 point, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in 17 minutes, stopped to speak with Bob Huggins in an animated fashion.

Although it’s unclear what Osabuohien said, Huggins clearly took exception to it as he angrily jumped up off his stool and at his player, and reportedly yelled, “Get off the court!”

Following the game, Huggins has the following to say about Osabuohien: “Gabe’s behavior today is not what we’re about. It’s a terrible representation of our basketball program and of our university. He can’t do that.”

West Virginia, 14-10 overall and 3-8 in the Big 12 Conference, will be back in action on Monday, February 14th at Kansas State in what’s now an absolute must-win game for the Mountaineers if they hope to play in the NCAA Tournament.

Huggins did not say whether Gabe Osabuohien will face any disciplinary actions in future games for his behavior on the court today.
