Morgantown, West Virginia – During West Virginia’s embarrassing 81-58 loss at Oklahoma State, senior forward Gabe Osabuohien was ejected from the game for arguing with referees. On his way to the locker room, Osabuohien stopped by Bob Huggins on the sidelines to explain in an animated way why he did what he did.

Huggins, exasperated by Osabuohien, who he has repeatedly told to stop arguing with the referees, shouted, “Get the **** off the court!”

Huggins has the following to say about Osabuohien: “Gabe’s behavior today is not what we’re about. It’s a terrible representation of our basketball program and of our university. He can’t do that.”

Although Osabuohien was not suspended by the team, Huggins made sure to teach him a lesson during last night’s loss at Kansas State. Osabuohien, the team’s best defensive player, did not play any minutes, despite the game being a must-win game for the Mountaineers.

In the postgame following last night’s game, Huggins said, “We don’t have room in our program for Gabe’s actions. If that was the first time that it happened, then I would say, ‘Okay, you lost it. I understand. You can’t do that anymore.’ But it wasn’t the first time at all.”

Huggins went on to say that Osabuohien is still a part of the team, but it’s unclear whether he will be back in the lineup when the Mountaineers host the #6 ranked Kansas Jayhawks this Saturday, February 19 at 8:00PM.
