Bob Huggins Furious With His Players

Morgantown, West Virginia – The West Virginia Mountaineers suffered an incredibly difficult, heart-breaking loss to Iowa State and Bob Huggins was furious with his players following the game.

Huggins, who said that he’s “covered for this guys all season”, went on a lengthy tirade about his players not listening to him.

“They didn’t listen to what I told them to do,” Huggins says angrily. “My guys used to be afraid to not do what I told them to do because they knew I wouldn’t play them anymore! This is ridiculous! 23, 24 year old guys can’t do what I ask them to do! It’s frustrating, man. Frustrating.”

Huggins was particularly frustrated with his players late in the game: “When you call a timeout to tell them what to do, they should probably listen to what you tell them to do.

I don’t know what to say. The truth of the matter is that our guys let their team down. And the thousands of Mountaineer fans who want to see them win and go on a winning streak. We don’t do what we’re asked to do. We have guys that have their own agendas and we’ll leave it at that. They just didn’t listen to me. It’s so frustrating, man.”
