Morgantown, West Virginia – Senior guard Taz Sherman was injured in the final minutes of West Virginia’s 77-81 loss against Baylor on Monday night.
Head coach Bob Huggins confirmed that Sherman suffered a concussion following the game in his postgame conference. Today, Huggins was asked to update Sherman’s condition and unfortunately, Huggins didn’t have many answers.
“He’s in the concussion protocol and nobody knows, apparently. There’s nothing we can say definitively. We’re just trying to figure out ways to win without him (Sherman). I thought we had it going pretty well with Sean (McNeil) and Taz, and we’re trying to work with the other guys to figure out how we can get them scoring.”
The Mountaineers are back in action on Saturday, February 5th at home against the #14 ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders.
