Bob Huggins Has No Answers Following Embarrassing Loss

Austin, Texas – The West Virginia Mountaineers fell to 15-10 overall and 4-8 in the Big 12 Conference in embarrassing fashion, losing to the #5 ranked Texas Longhorns, 94-60.

“I don’t know where to start. They shot the ball extremely, extremely well. We went back to turning the ball over again, which I thought we had fixed. We were turning the ball over left and right. We didn’t make shots, they made shots. They’re good. They’re really good, but we should lose like that.

I think the vast majority of our turnovers weren’t pressure-induced. I thought the game started out very physical from them and we didn’t respond very well to it.

I don’t think Keddy (Kedrian Johnson) gets what he deserves. He gets knocked around constantly and doesn’t get calls. He’s one of the best players in the conference and deserve better.

I didn’t know what to do with Tre (Mitchell). He wasn’t as confident or focused as usual. He just wasn’t Tre today.

Nothing went our way today. We threw the ball out of bounds constantly and didn’t make shots. I’m looking forward to going back and seeing why we didn’t run offense like we were supposed to today.

Now we have to get back on a bus and get ready for Baylor. This has been a really hard run. It’s really hard for us. Other teams complain about coming to travel but have no idea what we do.”

The Mountaineers will now try to regroup for a huge conference game on the road at the #14 ranked Baylor Bears on Monday night at 9:00PM.
