Today, WVU men’s basketball head coach, Bob Huggins, reached out to Barstool Sports owner, Dave Portnoy, on Twitter to invite him to Morgantown to give present the team with a “speech to end all speeches.”
Huggins sent out a tweet earlier today, thanking Thom Brennaman for presenting the team with a message on “accountability.” Portnoy would then reach out to Huggins, extending his offer for a speech, one that he promises to be second to none.
The WVU head man would respond by stating that the Mountaineers have an “open door” policy for Portnoy, allowing him in the facilities at anytime he wishes.
Dave Portnoy is one of the most controversial figures in sports, but he and Huggins seem to have a bromance brewing. Not only will this be good for WVU, but it will also bring a plethora of attention to the program.
