Bob Huggins Trying to Land One of the Top Ranked Players in the Country

Morgantown, West Virginia – Alier Maluk, the 23rd ranked prospect in the 2025 class, has emerged as one of the hottest players in the country recently. Today, he is in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Maluk, a 6’10 forward from Imani Christian Pennsylvania Academy and the All Ohio Red AAU Program, is a four star recruit who is originally from South Sudan but moved to Western Pennsylvania with his family when he was 3 years old.

Stock Risers referred to Maluk as “a dynamic two-way prospect, well known for his elite shot-blocking ability as he stands at 6’10 with a lengthy frame and an extremely high motor.” Adding, “He has put up numbers all season, most recently had a game with 18 points, nine boards, and four blocks. Maluk is an absolute stat sheet stuffer.”

Maluk’s recruitment has heated up recently, gaining offers from LSU, Pitt, Seton Hall, Texas A&M and, most recently, the West Virginia Mountaineers.

In addition to Maluk, five star forward Trentyn Flowers, a Baltimore, Maryland native, and 6’10 forward Matt Gilhool from Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, are also in Morgantown this weekend on unofficial visits.
