BREAKING: 3 Mountaineers Make All-Big 12 Team

Three Mountaineer Men’s Basketball players found themselves named All-Big 12 after the conclusion of the regular season on Saturday. Derek Culver, Miles McBride, and Oscar Tshiebwe were all listed among the best players in the Big 12 Conference for the 2019-20 basketball season.

Sophomore Derek Culver was named an Honorable Mention by the Big 12. One of the most productive players of the season for the Mountaineers, Culver’s presence was continuously felt on the inside all season.

Freshman Miles “Deuce” McBride was named to the All-Freshmen team for the Big 12. One of the best up-and-coming players for the Mountaineers, McBride gave the team range on the floor. The freshman finished the regular season averaging 9.5 points per game and shot 40.2% from the floor.

Freshman Oscar Tshiebwe was named Second Team All-Big 12 and was named to the Freshman All-Big 12 team. Quickly becoming one of the most popular players for West Virginia, Tshiebwe is expected to be one of the best players in the nation moving forward. The Congo native finished averaging 11.2 points per game and 9.3 rebounds.
