BREAKING: Best Virginia Adds Two Key Players

Moments ago, it was announced that two former Mountaineer players, Devin Williams and Tarik Phillip, will join the 2020 Best Virginia basketball team.

Williams, a 6’9 forward, currently plays professionally in Turkey for Tofas S.K., averaged 13.3 points, 9.5 rebounds and earned second-team All-Big 12 as a Junior before leaving early to declare for the NBA Draft.

Phillip, a former guard for West Virginia, also plays for Tofas S.K. in Turkey.  Last season, Phillip played for the Memphis Hustle of the G League and for the Washington Wizards Summer League team.  As a senior, Phillip averaged 9.3 points, 3.2 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals and was named the Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year.

Williams was a part of last year’s Best Virginia team, but Phillip was unable to play due to his contract with the Washington Wizards.  In addition to Williams and Phillip, Best Virginia also features Da’Sean Butler, Kevin Jones and John Flowers so far.  More players will be announced in the coming weeks.
