Moments ago, WVU senior kicker Evan Staley announced that he will return for a sixth-year of eligibility in 2021 via Twitter. Staley will be taking advantage of the NCAA’s free year of eligibility due to COVID-19.
After a knee injury he suffered against Kansas State, his 2020 season was cut short. It was because of this misfortune that he decided to return for one last season in the Gold and Blue.
“I love this team, this state and look forward to the opportunity to play and represent this university and state once again!”
