West Virginia just landed four star linebacker Broncs Baker, and this is the kind of commitment that should have fans fired up. Baker, out of Tooele, Utah, chose the Mountaineers over offers from Michigan, Virginia Tech, and a long list of other programs.
That’s not easy to do.
When you’re beating out schools like that for a defensive player, it tells you exactly how this staff is recruiting right now.

Baker fits exactly what you want at linebacker. Physical, aggressive, and the type of player who plays downhill and doesn’t hesitate. The kind of guy who can come in and make an impact, not just fill a spot.
And more importantly, it shows WVU can go into different parts of the country and win recruiting battles against big time programs.
