According to FootballScoop, former Mountaineer Defensive Coordinator Jeff Casteel is returning to the Mountaineers as a defensive analyst. Casteel has not coached with the Mountaineers since 2011 when he decided to left for Arizona to coach with former WVU coach Rich Rodriguez at Arizona.

Casteel had been rumored to interview for the positions vacated by both Blake Seiler and Al Pogue. He was recently defensive coordinator for the University of Nevada before parting ways with the team.
