BREAKING: Mountaineers Land Five Star Punter

Morgantown, West Virginia – Ronan Swope has been one of the most talented punters in high school football for the past few years and now, he has committed to play college football for the West Virginia Mountaineers!

Swope, a 5’11 160 pound punter/kicker from Malvern, Pennsylvania, committed to West Virginia over offers from Sacred Heart and Navy.

Swope, a first team all-state player, has a 4.0 GPA throughout high school and averaged over 40 yards and over 4 seconds of hang time per punt over the past two seasons.

Swope attended the Kohl’s Professional Kicking Camp and the following was said of his performance there:

”Swope recently competed at Kohl’s National Invitational Scholarship Camp in July of 2020. He is a very athletic punter who has the tools to compete at a high level. Swope also demonstrated that he can perform the roll out punt by making 10 out of 10 points during the charting portion of camp in June of 2020. We expect Swope to continue to grow and develop to be ready to compete at the college level. His punt score of 108.36 in July of 2020 was impressive!”

The Mountaineers have landed an awesome young man who will be a major contributor for years to come!  Welcome Home, Ronan!
