BREAKING: Safety Enters Transfer Portal

WVU safety Tavian Mayo has announced via Twitter that he has entered the transfer portal.

In a tweet, he called his time at West Virginia a “wonderful experience.”

“This really is almost heaven,” Mayo would add. He would conclude his statement saying he has “decided to part ways with WVU,” and that he wants to pursue his dreams “at a new home.”

Mayo is a former three-star prospect in the 2019 recruiting class. He held 17 offers coming out of high school, according to 247Sports. Among the schools interested were Iowa State, Nebraska, and Duke.

Tavian was used sparingly during his time at WVU, finishing with three solo tackles.
