West Virginia is slated as a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee’s early reveal Saturday.
The Mountaineers were the second seed in the West Region, the eighth-best team overall. WVU was one of three Big 12 teams in the 16-team reveal. Baylor and Kansas are No. 1 seeds and are the first and second best teams, respectively, overall in the early seeding.
Gonzaga (third overall) and San Diego State (fourth) were the other No. 1 seeds
Duke (5), Dayton (6) and Louisville (7) were the other No. 2 seeds along with WVU.
The Mountaineers travel to Oklahoma to face the Sooners on Saturday at 2 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPNU.
