BREAKING: Two Gonzaga Players Test Positive for COVID

Morgantown, West Virginia – The West Virginia Mountaineers are scheduled to play the #1 ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs in the Jimmy V Classic in Indianapolis, Indiana on Wednesday, December 2nd.

However, moments ago, it was revealed by Gonzaga basketball beat writer for The Spokesman-Review that two Gonzaga players have tested positive for COVID-19 following Thursday’s win against Kansas.

It’s unclear which two players have contracted the virus and today’s game against the Auburn Tigers will go on as scheduled.  The two players, according to the report, will remain isolated in their hotel room.

Jeff Goodman, Basketball Analyst for Stadium, reports that it’s two younger, role players, but these players have been in huddles next to other players on the team.
