Charles Barkley Says Bob Huggins Belongs in the Hall of Fame

Indianapolis, Indiana – Legendary NBA player turned commentator for Turner Sports, Charles Barkley, just said on the West Virginia versus Morehead State pregame that Bob Huggins absolutely belongs in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.

“Bob Huggins is the most underrated coach in the history of basketball. He doesn’t get McDonald’s All-Americans.  He gets McDonald’s eating Americans!”

Barkley, of course, is referring to Huggins not getting blue chip recruits like many of the coaches in the Hall of Fame.  Instead, Huggins turns average high school players into outstanding college players.

Barkley continued: “It’s a shame Coach Huggins was not named a finalist for the hoops hall.  I don’t think Coach Huggins has gotten the respect he deserves.”

Truer words have never been spoken!

Huggins goes for his 900th win tonight against Morehead State in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.  Let’s Go Mountaineers!
