Morgantown, West Virginia – Moments ago, it was announced by multiple sources that Duke’s head coach Mike Krzyzewski has decided to retire.
Krzyzewski, the all-time winningest coach in college basketball history with 1,170 wins, will coach the upcoming season and will retire following it.
Bob Huggins, who currently has 900 wins, could potentially pass him if he remains as a coach for several more seasons. Although extremely unlikely, Huggins would need to average approximately 25 wins per season for eleven more seasons to potentially surpass Coach K.
