College Gameday Analyst Predicts West Virginia Will Play in the Big 12 Championship

Morgantown, West Virginia – Former Heisman Trophy winner turned Desmond Howard has huge expectations for the West Virginia Mountaineers this season.

Howard, discussing today’s Oklahoma versus West Virginia game, said, “I have West Virginia playing Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship game”, adding “I think the Mountaineers win today.”

Howard also went on to criticize Oklahoma’s starting quarterback, Spencer Rattler.  “I’m really confused why Rattler hasn’t taken that next step forward, that big leap, yet.  Normally, you expect a quarterback with that kind of talent, that kind of arm strength, to take a step forward, but he hasn’t improved from Year 1 to Year 2.  I just don’t think Spencer Rattler pays attention to the details and the small things that make a good player a great player.”

Last night, another former Heisman Trophy winner also predicted the Mountaineers to pull the upset today.  Andre Ware, who played for the Houston Cougars, said, “I’m calling it here first.  West Virginia will go into Norman, Oklahoma and beat the Sooners!”
