Morgantown, West Virginia – Correction from our previous story, some West Virginia Mountaineer players do in fact have “BLM” stickers on the back of their helmets.
However, several players are not wearing the Black Lives Matter decals, so it appears that it was the players’ choice on whether to wear them or not. All players have the “UNITY” featured prominently on their helmets, which is seen as a more inclusive, less controversial option that also supports racial equality.
