When Dana Holgorsen left WVU for Houston, many speculated that the move was to get out of dodge from the Big 12. After beginning his tenure with the Cougars opening up against Oklahoma in 2019, he will once again face a Big 12 opponent next week.

According to Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports, Houston is in talks with Baylor to schedule a game for September 19th. The Cougars had their game against Memphis next week postponed after the Tigers reported a cluster of COVID-19 cases within their program.

Baylor also has September 19th open due to how the Big 12 scheduled their revised season. The Bears were originally scheduled to open up their season against  Louisiana Tech today, but the Bulldogs reported a cluster of COVID cases within their program, and the contest was ultimately postponed.
