Dana Holgorsen Could Return to Morgantown NEXT SEASON

Morgantown, West Virginia – Moments ago, it was announced that the American Athletic Conference has agreed to allow Cincinnati, UCF and Houston to leave the conference and join the Big 12 Conference for the 2023-2024 season!

This is huge news for the Big 12 and sets up all sorts of potential intriguing matchups for the West Virginia Mountaineers.

Bob Huggins returning to Cincinnati when the Mountaineers play the Bearcats will be a very interesting storyline, but perhaps the most intriguing matchup would be when the Houston Cougars travel to Morgantown to play West Virginia.

Dana Holgorsen, West Virginia’s former head coach, of course left the program for Houston following the 2018 season.

Although the schedule has obviously yet to be released, Holgorsen’s return to Morgantown will certainly be one for West Virginia fans to circle on their calendars.
