Darius Stills Headed to the NFL

Morgantown, West Virginia – West Virginia senior defensive lineman Darius Stills just confirmed that he’s headed to the NFL following this season with the Mountaineers.  Stills, who was the Big 12 Conference Preseason Player of the Year, has 16 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks through six games this season.

Although Stills is a senior, student athletes are allowed to return to play another year.  This season, in essence, does not count towards a player’s eligibility.  However, it appears that Stills has his eyes on the NFL.

Stills posted the following message on social media moments ago: “I only have two more home games left here at WVU.  Time really flies.”

It’s a little early in the draft process, but Stills has been mentioned as a potential first or second round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.  Obviously we wish him the best of luck regardless of what he decides to do, but selfishly we’d love to see back with his younger brother Dante for one more dominating season on the West Virginia defensive line.
