DaSean Butler Predicts a Final Four for the Mountaineers

Morgantown, West Virginia – The West Virginia Mountaineers were blessed with an incredible spot in the NCAA Tournament and one of the greatest players in West Virginia history thinks that the Mountaineers can make a deep run in the coming weeks.

Da’Sean Butler, who led the Mountaineers to the Final Four in the 2010 NCAA Tournament, said on “The Field of 68 Podcast” that West Virginia is primed to return to the Final Four.

“The Mountaineers will need to make jumpshots to get to the next round and I think they will.  I see Illinois getting past Cade Cunningham and those guys at Oklahoma State, and then I have my Mountaineers playing a very, very, very great game against Illinois (in the Elite 8).  It’ll be a great matchup to see Kofi (Cockburn) and Derek Culver, but I think Deuce McBride is going to have a tremendous tournament and can get the win.”

There you have it.  If anyone knows West Virginia Final Fours, it’s the great Da’Sean Butler!  With a very favorable draw in the tournament, don’t be surprised to see the Mountaineers make it to the Final Four and beyond!

West Virginia opens the NCAA Tournament on Friday night at 9:50PM against the Ohio Valley Conference Champions, the Morehead State Eagles.  The game will air live on truTV.

If/when the Mountaineers get past Morehead State, they will await the winner of the San Diego State/Syracuse game in the Second Round.

Let’s Go Mountaineers!
