Deuce Edwards Commits to West Virginia

MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — The future is bright on the defensive side of the football for the West Virginia Mountaineers!

Moments ago, West Virginia landed one of its top defensive secondary targets when TERRANCE “DEUCE” EDWARDS announced on social media that he has committed to play for the Mountaineers!

Edwards, a 6’1 180 pound cornerback from Richmond, Virginia, is the #1 rated defensive back in the state of Virginia in the 2025 class, and although he is a listed as a three star recruit by 247 Sports and Rivals, he is severely underrated.

Edwards has a long list of suitors and scholarship offers, including from Clemson, Florida State, Colorado, Michigan, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Tennessee and Virginia, among many others. However, the decision ultimately came down to Virginia Tech or West Virginia, but Edwards visited Morgantown on May 31 and reportedly fell in love with the WVU football program.
