Morgantown, West Virginia – Dimon Carrigan, a 6’9 senior forward originally from Boston, Massachusetts, has committed to play for the West Virginia Mountaineers!

Carrigan, who played for the Florida International Panthers last season, averaged 6.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.5 block shots per game.  Duquesne, Murray State, SIUE, Montana, Hofstra and Northwestern Oklahoma State also reached out to Carrigan since he left Florida International.

A former three star prospect, Carrigan is an exceptional energy guy and athlete.  West Virginia’s interior defense was poor last season and head coach Bob Huggins has made improving his defense a top priority.

Dimon Carrigan is one of the top defensive players in the transfer portal and will immediately add a major presence in the paint for the Mountaineers.

Welcome Home, Dimon!
