Morgantown, West Virginia – Don Nehlen, West Virginia’s all-time winningest coach and College Football Hall of Fame member, spoke to the Mountaineers football team today.
Nehlen said the following about the current team: “You are what you think you are. Teams that think and believe, make it happen.”
Nehlen continued: “There’s something about this team, and I think you guys are going to be pretty damn good.
And if you guys believe in yourselves – and you guys have a great coach and a great coaching staff – and this year, I think you’re going to get it done big time!”
Nehlen, now 85 years old, coached the Mountaineers from 1980-2000 and led the team to a national championship game in 1988.
