Morgantown, West Virginia – West Virginia head coach Neal Brown has already pulled an incredible recruiting class for the 2022 class, but today, it’s expected to go to an entirely new level!

When the Mountaineers co-defensive coordinator/defensive backs coach ShaDon Brown said, “TakeMeHome22 is about to go crazy”, this is the day he was referring to.

West Virginia is now the leader to land several major recruits in the coming days.  Today, four star cornerback Jacolby Spells will make his decision between Miami, Indiana, Arizona State, Arkansas and West Virginia.  West Virginia is expected to be the pick by many insiders and analysts, and Spells would be massive get for the Mountaineers defense.

Spells’ announcement will happen today at 1:00PM and The Voice of Motown will have extensive coverage of the commitment.

In addition to Spells, four star prospect Travious Lathan, a 6’2 200 pound linebacker from Miami, Florida, is also expected to make his commitment to the Mountaineers any day now.  Spells and Lathan are both from the same area and are close, so we could get two four star recruits back to back in the coming days.

Lathan, like Spells, had an official visit to Morgantown last month and reportedly left blown away by what West Virginia University had to offer.  Lathan has been very vocal on social media about his time in Morgantown, calling it “phenomenal”, and he has retweeted and liked several West Virginia-related posts since then.

On the offensive side of the ball, four star athlete Jaden Mangham and Christion Stokes, a three star athlete who is very good friends with Mangham, appear very close to committing to the Mountaineers as well.

Both players from Michigan are expected to announce that they will play for the Mountaineers very soon now that they have completed their official visits to other schools.  Mangham and Stokes are again projected by most experts and analysts to West Virginia.

While West Virginia already has an outstanding class featuring four star quarterback Nicco Marchiol and the state’s top player in Corbin Page, adding the aforementioned players in the coming days will make this not only one of the best classes in the country but also one of the best ever at West Virginia!
