Five Star Transfer Guard in Morgantown

Morgantown, West Virginia – Joe Toussaint, a transfer guard who has played for the Iowa Hawkeyes for the past three seasons, is currently in Morgantown, West Virginia meeting with the Mountaineers coaching staff and touring the basketball facilities.

Toussaint, a Bronx, New York native, is currently listed as a five star transfer prospect and the 10th best player available in the transfer portal.

During his time at Iowa, Toussaint averaged 6.5 points his freshman season, 3.7 points his sophomore season and 4.3 points per game this past season for the Hawkeyes. Although those averages aren’t particularly impressive, Toussaint is known primarily as a tough, hard-nosed defender.

Toussaint, 6’0 190 pounds, has two years of eligibility remaining and is certainly capable of stepping in and being the starting point guard for the Mountaineers next season. Toussaint has heard from several major schools, but his former teammate, Erik Stevenson, recently committed to play for West Virginia and his very first visit was to Morgantown, so Bob Huggins landing him looks very good right now.
