The Mountaineers lost an absolute gem on their coaching staff when Travis Trickett left to join the South Florida Bulls.

Trickett, a former tight ends coach for the Mountaineers, decided that it was in his best interest to press on in his career and take an offensive coordinator position. However, a lot has changed since then. The Bulls have made a coaching change, and now Trickett is looking for work.

West Virginia, whose offense was led by Graham Harrell last season, is now also looking for a coordinator with the aforementioned Harrell leaving for Purdue.

Earlier this morning, Trickett, who is always active on social media, posted a cryptic tweet that has many WVU fans speculating his return.

it was short, sweet, and to the point.

“See you soon.” A gif from the popular show Yellowstone.

This is only speculation, and this could honestly mean anything, but given the circumstances…it seems very obvious to me.

Could we see Trickett return to take over the WVU offense? Only time will tell, but we have a very good feeling about it.
