Former Mountaineer Back in the Transfer Portal

Morgantown, West Virginia – Teddy “Buckets” Allen is back in the transfer portal once again!

Allen, who began his college career at West Virginia, spent most of his time in Morgantown in Bob Huggins’ dog house. Allen then transferred to Wichita State, was kicked off the team, played a year at a junior college, then Nebraska, where he spent one season, before ultimately ending up at New Mexico State.

At New Mexico State, Allen finally lived up to his potential, averaging 19.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game while being named the WAC Player of the Year.

Although unlikely, a Teddy Buckets return to Morgantown would be huge for the Mountaineers, who lack a scoring punch right now.

Emmitt Matthews, Jr. returned to West Virginia after one season at Washington. Could Teddy Allen take a long and winding road back to Morgantown next?
