Though it has been a while since he took the field in Morgantown, former WVU safety Derrek Pitts Jr. is still fresh in the minds of Mountaineer Nation.

The West Virginia native entered the transfer portal following the 2018 season, and has spent time at both Marshall and NC State since.

Since his Morgantown departure, Pitts has tallied 140 tackles and two interceptions. Though not spectacular numbers, he still has had a solid collegiate career.

Yesterday, Pitts announced his decision to forego his remaining collegiate eligibility and enter the 2023 NFL Draft.

According to DraftScout.com, Pitts is expected to go undrafted.
