Although West Virginia alumni team “Best Virginia” was forced to withdraw form the upcoming TBT basketball tournament due to several players contracting COVID-19, one former West Virginia Mountaineer has agreed to play in the tournament on a different team.
Daxter Miles, Jr., who was scheduled to play for “Best Virginia”, has agreed to play for the Fort Wayne Champs, a former Final Four team in the tournament.
Miles, who played for the Mountaineers from 2014-2018, currently plays for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the NBA G League.
In addition to Miles, former Mountaineer Devin Williams will play for Floyd Mayweather’s Money Team in the tournament, which starts July 4th. All games will be televised on ESPN.
