Former Players Blast Neal Brown

Morgantown, West Virginia – The West Virginia Mountaineers continue to lose players to the transfer portal – today, Jasir Cox and star wide receiver Kaden Prather – and former players are now speaking out against head coach Neal Brown.

Former West Virginia wide receiver T.J. Simmons, who played for the Mountaineers from 2018-2020, had 86 receptions, 1,197 yards and 9 touchdowns during his collegiate career.

Following the departure of Prather from the team, Simmons had the following to say: “WVU really sacrificing the whole team for one man.”

His former teammate, Jeffery Pooler, added, “Thought it was obvious when we did this 2 seasons ago.”

Both played for Neal Brown and although they didn’t name him personally, it is quite clear who they are referring to. Remember, one of the reasons that West Virginia remained committed to Brown in 2023 was to “keep the team together.” However, that certainly does not look like it’s happening with several players transferring.
